Kelsey Roderick, owner of Glade Valley Equine Dental Services, LLC. went into Equine Dentistry because of her love of horses. She grew up with horses and loved watching the veterinarians work on hers every year and noticed the difference it made. "Nothing is more satisfying than noticing the instant and ongoing comfort and improvement proper dental care provides." she said during our interview. Kelsey graduated from The American School of Equine Dentistry in Purcellville, VA in 2010 and apprenticed for 6 months before starting her own business. On top of starting up her own business, she is a member of the International Association of Equine Dentistry, has served as an expert witness for the Humane Society in Animal Neglect Cases, and has assisted as a guest instructor for the American School of Equine Dentistry. Kelsey is one of the in house dentists at the Charlestown Race Track and also provides services to many local farms and farms along the coast from New York down to Florida. She recently established her business as an LLC, and has sent in paperwork to join the Equine Dental Providers of America so that she can donate more services to rescues. "I am very excited for all of the new changes that are occurring." she added. After 7 years, Kelsey finally made a Facebook page to reach more clients and provide more information about the importance of horses' dental health.
